Are you looking for a rest and some plants and trees in stead of buildings and traffic? Take a look in the parks and gardens of Paris. They are full of beautiful trees, special plants, expansive lawns and often surprising landscaping.  Moreover, each park is perfectly maintained, you will always see gardeners weeding, planting or spraying. The flower beds change twice a year and are planted with bulbs and annuals in beautiful color combinations. Each year a new design is made, differing in colour, height and flowering time.

Rest
Every park has its own character: modern, playful, classic, cultural. They are equipped with ponds, merry-go-rounds, sculptures, children's playgrounds or scent gardens. In each park you will find benches or seats to rest your feet. You may put your chair wherever you like in sun or shade, by the water or under a tree. In some parks you are not allowed to enter the lawns: the signs 'Pelouse interdite’ or ‘Pelouse au repos’ mean: keep out.
Dogs
Dogs are often not allowed in the Paris parks, and if they are, you have to keep them on the leash. The rules vary, so look at this list to see if you can bring your dog in the park you want to visit.
Wi-fi
Many parks and gardens are equipped with free wi-fi connections. This is mentioned in the data. In this list you will find the exact localisation of the connection points in each park.
Green oases
Paris has some 400 parks, gardens and squares. On Paris à la carte you will find a choice of well known and lesser-known classical and modern parks. Almost every year a new park is opened. The last few years saw the opening of the Jardin d'Eole in the 18th arrondissement and the Jardin Anne Frank in the 4th arrondissement.
